YOU know Halloween is close by when the pumpkin picking starts!
And people have been along to Broughgammon Farm near Ballycastle to take their pick.
Broughgammon Farm said on social media: ‘Looking forward to a busy weekend here at the farm. Our farm shop and takeaway cafe is open as usual, we also have a separate checkout for just pumpkin sales (cash only for the pumpkin express but card machine available in the shop. All pumpkins approx £3.50 each).
‘As you know our beautiful eating pumpkins (such as crown prince and uchiki kuri)sold out insanely fast last week so as the demand for the patch has been so huge we have back up pumpkins from our organic friends @mcnallyfamilyfarm on Sunday and also our local wholesaler so hopefully we have plenty to keep everyone happy!
‘🎃 We absolutely know this isn’t ideal but next year we aim to grow a lot more and expand the patch now we know! 😂 We ask that you wear masks, use the hand sanitizer and keep well distanced from other families (and no outdoor seating this week due to new regulations) so we can keep the beautiful North coast safe!
‘Ps Please remember it’s been very wet this week, so the field car park is not as dry as last week so we have some mats laid out as it will be a little bit sticky so on that note please bring rain gear and wellies ☔️.’
