A FARMER’S life was saved after a quick-thinking friend saw him being attacked by a raging bull and arrived from a nearby field in a tractor to scare off the animal, it has been revealed.

Joe Hamilton suffered injuries and had to be taken to hospital by the Air Ambulance following an incident in the Broughshane area last week.

Joe suffered broken bones and was using crutches when he returned home in recent days.

He had been flung into the air and he believes if it was not for the actions of his friend who was working in a nearby field he would have been killed.

His quick-thinking pal came to the rescue and emergency services rushed to the area.

The best wishes of the local farming community were sent to Joe and after his close call he is now urging others to be wary around bulls.
