CHILDREN from across County Antrim have in recent days been well and truly getting into the spirit of the rainbow pictures craze designed to signify hope during the coronavirus pandemic.

The pictures are aimed at offering a message of hope to the public during the coronavirus lockdown.

They have mainly been drawn by children urging people to keep positive, with rainbows showing that the sun follows heavy rainfall.

One reader contacted us to say: “Just want to tell you about a wee girl who’s 3 and called Sophia McDowell and lives in Wakehurst Park who draw all her neighbours and family pictures of rainbows and told us all to stay safe. Thought it was such a beautiful thing to do and maybe you could give her a wee mention.”
