WIND and heavy rain led to reports of damage in Ballymena overnight.
Broughshane Street newsagent Eugene Diamond said slates had blown off onto the ground at the rear of his shop.
He also posted a video of stormy conditions as he made his way to work early this morning.
Must have been a very windy night…. I just went out the back of the shop to find a number of slates from the shop roof had come off…..This was the rain and wind on the Dan’s Road at 5.30am ……#WinterTime pic.twitter.com/VsIYYBHrjz

Thankfully, the conditions improved by the time most people got up.
However, water levels had risen in the River Braid.
