Republican mural is set on fire in Ballymena

The mural before it was set on fire.

A MURAL mentioning the name of a Republican group which was attached to a fence in the Dunclug area of Ballymena has been set on fire.

This picture of flames at the scene of the mural appeared online.

The mural which featured the name of Republican group ‘Saoradh’ had said: ‘End British Political Policing’.

Pictures of the mural, which was visible from the Cushendall Road, appeared online in recent days before being followed by a picture of the mural apparently in flames.

On Tuesday morning the mural was no longer at the location and instead burn marks could be seen on a fence.
