Round of applause for Council Chief Executive following her OBE

Council Chief Executive Anne Donaghy.

APPLAUSE rang out at The Braid Town Hall in Ballymena on Monday night after the Mayor congratulated the Chief Executive Anne Donaghy on receiving an OBE for ‘services to local government and the community in County Antrim during covid-19’.

Mayor, Cllr Peter Johnston, said: “This is a well deserved honour which highlight’s Anne’s commitment to delivering excellence in public services and I think it would be appropriate tonight if we just all give her a quick round of applause”.

The Mayor also praised all those from the area who were recognised in the recent Queen’s Honours awards which he said were “richly deserved at this particularly difficult” time for all.

Recently, Anne Donaghy said she was “extremely honoured” to be appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
