THERE have been 5 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.
There were 89 new cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.
There have been 642 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 16,077 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.
There were 46 new cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last week putting it behind Belfast with 136, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon with 67 and Antrim and Newtownabbey with 50.
Over the last 14 days Mid & East Antrim had the second highest number of new cases – 142 – compared to Belfast’s 217.
There have been 606 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 17 since yesterday – and 412 – a rise of 1 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,138.
Out of the 89 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 30; Antrim & Newtownabbey had 17 and Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon had 14.
Lisburn & Castlereagh had 8; Mid & East Antrim 5 and Newry, Mourne & Down had 4.
Ards & North Down; Derry City & Strabane and Mid Ulster each had 3.
Causeway Coast & Glens had 1 and 1 case was listed as ‘not known’.
There were no new reported cases in Fermanagh & Omagh.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 560.
In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 44 according to Department of Health statistics.
The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
