Saturday’s update: 9 new reported coronavirus cases in Mid & East Antrim in last 24 hours

THERE have been 9 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.

There were 118 new cases reported across Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

There have been 693 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 17,828 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.

There have been 643 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 8 since yesterday – and 431 – also up 8 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.

The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,621.

 

Out of the 118 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 43 and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon had 16.

Ards & North Down; Mid & East Antrim and Lisburn & Castlereagh each had 9 new cases.

Antrim & Newtownabbey and Causeway Coast & Glens each had 8 and there were 7 in Fermanagh & Omagh.

Newry, Mourne & Down had 5 and Derry City & Strabane and Mid Ulster each had 2 new cases.

The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 564.

 

In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 45 according to Department of Health statistics.

The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
