“During this time staff uploaded teaching online so learning was not impacted.

“Following advice from the Public Health Agency all pupils in close contact have been sent home to isolate for 14 days. During this time they will continue their classes by remote learning.

“The welfare of our staff, pupils and wider school community is paramount so this is not a decision which has been taken lightly.

“The school will undergo an enhanced clean and will re-open to all year groups again on Monday October 5.”

When ‘Ballymena Daily’ called the school on Friday morning it went to an answerphone.
