Shelter at one of Ballymena’s busiest bus stops badly damaged by vandals

A SHELTER at one of Ballymena’s busiest bus stops has been badly damaged in an early morning vandalism attack.

The shelter at Wellington Street is well used by town service bus customers including the elderly to take cover from the rain.

The damage appears to have happened some time after 1am.

It is understood workers were quickly on the scene and had the damage cleaned up by 7am.

A PSNI spokeswoman told ‘Ballymena Daily’ they received a report at 3.40am of criminal damage at the bus shelter.
