SIGNS at one of Ballymena’s busiest supermarkets are advising people to stay at least a metre apart whilst in till queues during the coronavirus pandemic.
The signs at Tesco on the Larne Road Link say: ‘We’ve introduced some social distancing measures.
‘This is for everyone’s safety, comfort and peace of mind.
‘Please stand outside of the marked areas when going through the checkout and leave a 1 metre gap between you and other customers. Thank you for your cooperation’.
Other signs at the store say: ‘To help give everyone access to essential items. All products in this store have been limited to 3 per customer. Thank you’.
Meanwhile, M&S has set aside trading times for ‘older and vulnerable customers and our brilliant NHS and emergency workers’.
