BALLYMENA Courthouse lay eerily silent on Thursday.

Normally more than 100 cases are listed on a Thursday at bustling Ballymena Magistrates Court.

However, due to the coronavirus pandemic the courthouse was closed to the public and is one of the sittings which has now been ‘consolidated’ in other courthouses in Northern Ireland in Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Craigavon and Dungannon.

The Ballymena cases are now listed in Belfast.
