A FILM crew has moved into place at the Ballymoney Road car park in Ballymena.

It has led to speculation about what is happening.

So far the speculation has included ‘Line of Duty’ and ‘The Northman’ but others are saying it is a BBC series called ‘Awakenings’.

‘Ballymena Daily’ visited the car park on Saturday but apart from a vast amount of equipment there weren’t many people about …no signs of any stars!

However, it was clear that there were plenty of covid precautions being taken.

Line of Duty is filmed around Northern Ireland and scenes were once shot in Larne’s Seacourt estate.

Scenes for ‘Derry Girls’ were previously filmed at local locations including the Adair Arms Hotel in Ballymena.

Health and safety is at the forefront as the equipment set up in the car park includes a covid-related test area and an ‘isolation room’.
