Stolen digger prompts fears of ‘ATM attack’

A DIGGER has been stolen in the Randalstown area prompting speculation from members of the public that it could be used for an attack on an ATM.

The PSNI Antrim Facebook page published a post on Sunday evening along with a picture of the type of machinery.

Members of the public commenting on the police page immediately speculated as to what the motive may be.

The police post said: ‘Appeal for information. The photograph in this post is of a Case Orange Digger. One similar to this along with 3 buckets and a rock hammer for the digger were stolen recently from an address on the Creggan Road, Randalstown. If you have any information on this please call 101 quoting 259 of 25/02/20.’
