Sunday’s update: 9 new reported coronavirus cases in Mid & East Antrim in last 24 hours

THERE have been 9 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.

There were 106 new cases reported across Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

There have been 702 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 18,034 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.

There have been 652 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 9 since yesterday – and 433 –  up 2 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.

The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,727.

 

Out of the 106 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 34 and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Lisburn and Castlereagh and Newry, Mourne & Down each had 11.

Antrim & Newtownabbey and Mid & East Antrim each had 9 new cases.

Ards & North Down and Fermanagh & Omagh each had 5.

Derry City & Strabane and Mid Ulster each had 4 new cases.

Causeway Coat & Glens had 2 new cases and the location for 1 case was listed as ‘not known’.

The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 564.

 

In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 45 according to Department of Health statistics.

The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
