TWELVE new Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day is the joint highest rise in any district in Northern Ireland.
The dozen local cases was the same as the rise in Belfast.
There were 51 new cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland.
There have been 553 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 13,299 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.
79 new cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last week is the highest weekly rise of any local council area in Northern Ireland.
Mid & East Antrim also has the highest rise in Northern Ireland over the last 14 day period with 129 reported cases.
There have been 539 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey and 375 in Causeway Coast & Glens since the pandemic began.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 6,556.
Out of the 51 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Mid & East Antrim and Belfast each had 12 followed by Antrim & Newtownabbey with 7.
Lisburn & Castlereagh and Newry Mourne & Down each had 5.
Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon had 4; Causeway Coast & Glens 3; Derry City & Strabane had 2 and Mid Ulster 1.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 559.
In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 44 according to Department of Health statistics.
The Health Department says there have been 60 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
