Thursday’s update: 6 new reported coronavirus cases in Mid & East Antrim in last 24 hours

THERE have been 6 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.

There has been one death reported across Northern Ireland – in the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon area – in the last 24 hours.

There were 77 new cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

There have been 677 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 17,253 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.

There have been 628 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 9 since yesterday – and 423 – up 3 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.

The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,442.

 

Out of the 77 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 35; Antrim & Newtownabbey 9; Lisburn & Castlereagh 8 and Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon had 7.

Mid & East Antrim had 6 and there were 4 cases in Newry, Mourne & Down.

Derry City & Strabane and Causeway Coast & Glens each had 3.

Ards & North Down had 2 cases.

The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 563.

 

In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 46 according to Department of Health statistics.

The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
