THERE were 7 new cases of coronavirus reported in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.
There were 78 new cases reported across Northern Ireland up from the previous daily figure of 49.
There have been 743 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 19,230 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.
There have been 696 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 17 since yesterday – and 441 – up 1 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 8,035.
Out of the 78 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 21 followed by Antrim & Newtownabbey with 17.
Lisburn & Castlereagh had 13 and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon had 11.
Mid & East Antrim had 7 followed by Newry, Mourne & Down with 5.
Derry City & Strabane had 3 cases and the following areas had 1 case each – Ards & North Down, Causeway Coast & Glens and Mid Ulster.
The locations of cases marked as ‘not known’ was reduced by two with those cases allocated to districts.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health is 568.
The latest death was in Newry, Mourne & Down.
In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 46 according to Department of Health statistics.
The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
