FOUR more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Mid & East Antrim.
The total number of cases in the borough since the pandemic began is 316.
The Department of Health statistics were issued on Thursday.
There are different statistics relating to the number of deaths regarding coronavirus with the Department of Health figure saying there have been 40 deaths in the borough and NISRA (Northern Ireland Statistics & Research Agency) figures – which are published weekly on Fridays – puts the borough’s Covid-related death toll at 43.
The NISRA stats show there were 652 deaths related to pandemic across Northern Ireland and the Department of Health’s current figure is 518 with two of those deaths being recorded in the last day.
The Department of Health figures show there have been 55 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 37 in the Causeway Coast & Glens area.
There have been 391 cases of people testing positive for coronavirus in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 224 in the Causeway Coast and Glens area since the start of the pandemic.
Across Northern Ireland, it was revealed on Thursday, there have been 16 new cases of people testing positive to in the last 24 hours to bring the total number of positive cases since the start of the crisis to 4,679.
