THERE have been 2 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.
There were 47 new cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.
There have been 619 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 14,703 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.
There were 86 new cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last week and in the same period Belfast had 77 new cases.
It means Mid & East Antrim had the highest number of new cases in the last week.
The area also had the highest number of new cases in the last 14 days – 166 – compared to Belfast’s 151.
There have been 568 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 5 since yesterday – and 399 – a rise of 5 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 6,823.
Out of the 47 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 16; the location of six were listed as ‘not known’ and Antrim & Newtownabbey and Causeway Coast & Glens had 5 each.
There were four new cases in Lisburn & Castlereagh and three in Ards & North Down and Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon.
Mid & East Antrim had two cases and Derry City & Strabane; Mid Ulster and Newry, Mourne & Down each had one.
There were no new cases in Fermanagh & Omagh.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 559.
There have no deaths recorded by the Department of Health for a number of days.
In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 44 according to Department of Health statistics.
The Health Department says there have been 60 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
