TWO further deaths related to coronavirus have been reported in Mid & East Antrim.
It brings the number of deaths reported by the Department of Health in the borough to 38 since the pandemic started.
The new statistics were released on Tuesday.
There have been 51 deaths in the Antrim & Newtownabbey area and 32 in the Causeway Coast & Glens area, since the beginning of the outbreak, according to the Department of Health statistics.
Across Northern Ireland there have been seven more deaths – four in the current reporting period and three which occurred earlier but which are now only being included.
The death toll, according to the Department of Health figures, is now 489.
Tuesday’s figures showed there had been 293 cases of coronavirus in Mid & East Antrim.
There have been 370 cases in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 183 in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
Across Northern Ireland there have been 20 new coronavirus cases to bring the total since the start of the crisis to 4,421.
Following the 16 new cases confirmed on Monday, Tuesday’s figure of 20 is understood to be one of the lowest daily rises for several weeks.
