Two arrests as police probe latest ATM theft

DETECTIVES investigating the theft of a double ATM from the Tesco store in Antrim during the early hours of yesterday morning, Friday 06 December, have made two arrests.

Detective Chief Inspector McCubbin said: “The men, aged 26 and 43, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to steal.

“The 43 year old man was interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries. The 26 year old man remains in police custody at this time.

“Our investigation into this is ongoing and I continue to appeal to anyone who has any information that can assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Antrim on 101, quoting reference 126 06/12/19.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
