THERE have been 9 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.
There were 72 new cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.
There have been 628 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 15,224 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.
There were 85 new cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last week and in the same period Belfast had 90 new cases.
It means Mid & East Antrim had the second highest number of new cases in Northern Ireland in the last week.
The area had the highest number of new cases in the last 14 days – 170 – compared to Belfast’s 163.
There have been 571 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 3 since yesterday – and 405 – a rise of 6 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 6,895.
Out of the 71 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 19; Mid & East Antrim had 9; Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon and Lisburn & Castlereagh each had 8 and Ards & North Down had 7.
Causeway Coast & Glens had 6; the location of 4 were listed as ‘not known’ and Derry City & Strabane also had 4.
Antrim & Newtownabbey and Newry, Mourne & Down each each had 3 cases.
Mid Ulster had 1 new case and there were no new cases in Fermanagh & Omagh.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 559.
There have no deaths recorded by the Department of Health for a number of days.
In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 44 according to Department of Health statistics.
The Health Department says there have been 60 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
