Wednesday’s update: Just one new covid case reported in Mid & East Antrim in last day

THERE was just one new covid case reported in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.

There were 88 new cases across Northern Ireland and no covid-related deaths.

Mid & East Antrim had the lowest number of new cases of any borough in Northern Ireland.

The number of people who have died in Mid & East Antrim since the start of the pandemic is 215.

The Department of Health says there have been 2,121 covid-related deaths across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began.

The number of cases in the Borough since the start of the pandemic is now 7,572.

The number of cases since the start of the pandemic in Northern Ireland is now 117,821.

Statistics show a weekly breakdown of new cases by postcode areas – for example the BT42 and BT43 areas which take in the Ballymena district – had 8 and 10 between March 29-April 4. The previous weekly figures were 10 and 9.
