FOUR firms, with 700 staff and with combined biennial global sales of nearly £120 million in the last two years, feature in the latest Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table, which ranks the UK’s mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing overseas sales.
The quartet is headed at number 50 by car and farm equipment dealer Wilsons of Rathkenny.
Wilsons, founded in 1964 to sell farm machinery and which has since expanded into car dealerships for Nissan, Kia, Seat and Vauxhall, grew its international sales by 69 per cent in the last two years, driven by the sale of agricultural vehicles such as forklift tractors and lawnmowers
Toomebridge kitchen door supplier Uform (number 180), founded in 1993 by Eamon Donnelly, saw its international sales reached £10.6m in 2019, growing at an average of 33 per cent per year over two years, on total sales of £34.9m.
MJM Marine, which provides specialist joinery and fit-out services to customers including Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Carnival Corporation, grew its sales by an average of 36 per cent a year over two years to a whopping £92.5m of its total £97.7m turnover.
It came in on the list at number 155, while its sister firm Mivan is included higher up at 108, having grown sales by 46 per cent to £11.6m (it will be working on the REV Ocean research super yacht later this year), the Irish News reports.
