Couple in 50s escape unhurt after putting out flames in their living room following petrol bomb attack

A COUPLE escaped unhurt after being able to extinguish flames in their living room caused by a petrol bomb attack.

Detectives are investigating an attack on a house in Ardclinis Gardens in Larne during the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 27 October.

At around 3am a petrol bomb was thrown through a front window and into the living room, where it ignited.

The residents, who were awoken by the breaking glass, managed to extinguish the flames and alert emergency services. Fortunately the couple, who are in their 50s, were unhurt, police said.
