Emergency services respond to report of male being ‘stabbed’

Emergency services responded to reports of a male being ‘stabbed’ in Portrush this evening.

Northern Ireland Ambulance sent a Rapid Response Paramedic.

Causeway Coast News quoted a NIAS spokesperson as saying: “The patient had sustained minor injuries and declined the offer of transport to hospital.”

A large police presence responded to the call, closing a road at one stage.

Councillor Angela Mulholland thanked the emergency services for their quick response.

There have been reports of anti-social behaviour in Portrush in recent days.
