Man and woman are accused of alleged fraud involving ‘illegal subscriptions for TV channels’

A MAN and woman have been charged following an operation by Mid Ulster CID detectives along with local uniform officers in Bellaghy which uncovered a what has been described as a ‘substantial online fraud involving the sale of illegal subscriptions for TV channels and broadcasters’.

A 34 year old man and a 30 year old woman have been charged with a range of offences including making or supplying articles for use in fraud, possessing articles infringing copyright, unauthorised use of a trademark and concealing criminal property.

Both are expected to appear at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on 15 July 2020.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
