THE number of people who have answered the call to help the health service fight against coronavirus has more than doubled.
Health Minister Robin Swann said on Monday: “I am very pleased to report that the numbers of people coming forward to work for our health service have already more than doubled.
“Within 24 hours of the HSC Workforce Appeal going live at the weekend, 4,031 people had registered an interest in playing their part.
“As of mid-afternoon today, that total is now 8,855 including 1,422 clinical staff. This is really great news. Thank you to each and every one of you.”
