A PERSON was given oxygen by firefighters after an early morning incident in which a wheelie bin was believed to have been deliberately set on fire.
Firefighters were called to a wheelie bin on fire outside flats on John Street, Ballymoney, early this morning.
A spokesperson for NIFRS said “One person had removed themselves from the property prior to the arrival of firefighters and two further people were led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
‘One casualty was given oxygen therapy by firefighters, due to slight smoke inhalation.
‘Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus used jets to extinguish the fire.
‘The incident was dealt with by 4.20am, and the cause is believed to be deliberate ignition’.
