FIVE further deaths related to coronavirus have been reported across Northern Ireland.
It brings the number of deaths reported by the Department of Health in Northern Ireland to 494 since the pandemic started.
The new statistics were released on Wednesday.
There have been 38 deaths in the Mid & East Antrim area; 52 in Antrim & Newtownabbey area and 32 in the Causeway Coast & Glens area, since the beginning of the outbreak, according to the Department of Health statistics.
Of the five further deaths across Northern Ireland four were in the current reporting period and one occurred earlier but which is now only being included.
There is a degree of fluctuation in the figures. For example Tuesday’s figures showed there had been 293 cases of coronavirus in Mid & East Antrim and on Wednesday that figure was revised to 292.
There have been 370 cases in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 186 in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
Across Northern Ireland there have been 18 new coronavirus cases to bring the total since the start of the crisis to 4,439.
The number of new cases being reported is much smaller than in recent weeks.
Following the 16 new cases confirmed on Monday, Tuesday’s figure was 20 and on Wednesday it was 18.
