Alleged stabbing incident: Man remanded in custody today charged with attempted murder

A man charged with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing was remanded in custody at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Friday.

Gary Moore (30), of Greenmount Avenue, Coleraine, is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – common assault and criminal damage.

The charges are in relation to what police described as a “serious” assault in Coleraine on Wednesday night (3 July).

The case has been adjourned until the end of July.

A man in his 40s was stabbed at Blackthorn Court in Coleraine around 11.30pm on Wednesday and attended hospital.
