Ballykeel disturbance: Man (30) appears in court and is granted bail

A 30-year-old man has appeared at court charged in connection with a disturbance in Ballymena’s Ballykeel estate.

Mark Law, of Drumtara, Ballymena, faces two charges of aggravated burglary and inflicting grievous bodily harm on two males at an address at Orkney Drive whilst having an offensive weapon, a hammer, on October 25 this year.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court the defendant was released on £500 bail with a 10pm-6am curfew only on a Friday and Sunday and any other night he is not working.

He is also excluded from the Ballykeel area and the Crebilly Road and he is not to see or speak to his co-accused or attempt to see, speak to or in any way contact two injured parties.

The case was adjourned to Ballymena Magistrates Court on December 19.
