A motorist who said he was dropping a person off to their address in Ballymena was detected using a Skoda Superb without insurance.
Oleg Hostin (44), of Orkney Drive in Ballymena, was caught at Dunvale in the town on May 16 this year.
He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court which heard that during the detection three “outstanding money warrants” came to light.
Defence barrister Amy Campbell said the unemployed welder no longer has a car.
The defendant was given a three months driving ban and fined £100.
