Ballymena man accused of wave of shoplifting is further remanded in custody

A BALLYMENA man accused of a string of shoplifting offences has been further remanded in custody.

Gareth McKee (24), of Chichester Park West, Ballymena, is accused of stealing items including coffee machines, make-up, jewellery, perfume, fresh meat; a hoover, steam mop; various tools and various fishing items.

A total value for the goods was not given on the charge sheet.

The charges relate to incidents at Currys, Woodside’s Pharmacy, Phoenix Service Station and

The Range – all in Ballymena – on dates between December 2 last year and February 2 this year.

The defendant was on the video link list at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday where he was further remanded in custody and the case adjourned to March 19.
