Ballymena man admits receiving stolen goods

Ballymena Court

A Ballymena man appeared at the town’s Magistrates Court today and admitted a charge of receiving stolen goods.

Trevor Hayes (47), whose address was given as Queen Street, dishonestly received stolen goods – an Adidas coat and a Kurt Geiger bag – belonging to TK Maxx, Ballymena, in the run up to Christmas last year.

The offence was detected on December 13.

The court heard the defendant was in breach of two suspended sentences and sentencing was adjourned to mid-July for a pre-sentence report.

The suspended sentences were given to Hayes last summer for offering to supply drugs including cocaine and cannabis and possessing cannabis.
