Ballymena man is jailed for almost three years in Scotland

A court has heard a Ballymena man has been jailed for two years and nine months in Scotland and has a release date of May next year.

Details surrounding Charles Andrew Law (28), whose address was given as James Street in Ayr, emerged at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.

It did not say in court what Law had been sentenced for in Scotland.

The defendant’s Ballymena case sees him accused of stealing menswear worth £381.46 belonging to Jack Graham.

Law is alleged to have committed the offence on July 30 last year.

His Ballymena case has been adjourned to June 20.
