TWO brothers who were disorderly outside The Spinning Mill pub at Ballymena’s Broughshane Street at 1.30am on July 13 last year have each been given a two months prison term, suspended for a year, after it was heard neither, in the view of the Probation Service, were suitable to do Community Service.
Norman LeBlanc (50), of Larne Road in Ballymena and Mark LeBlanc (45), of Chichester Park East in the town, were sentenced at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.
A prosecutor said police were on patrol at 1.30am when they encountered an ongoing disturbance.
A defence lawyer said it had been an “unfortunate incident fuelled by alcohol”.
The solicitor said there had been “very positive reports” regarding the defendants from Probation officials.
