Conditional discharge for woman who ‘converted criminal property’

Ballymena Court

A WOMAN who admitted converting criminal property – a mobile phone and a laptop – has been given an 18 months conditional discharge.

Stephanie McKee (21), with an address at Ashgreen in Antrim, committed the offence between January 1 and April 22 last year.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday where her defence solicitor was David Nagra.

The court heard the defendant knew the items were stolen and admitted selling them on.

Mr Nagra said the defendant had been going though a difficult spell at the time but her lifestyle has now stabilised.
