Court hears driver spent several days in hospital following collision

A DRIVER who spent several days in hospital after being injured in a three vehicle collision has been given six penalty points and fined £300.

Joshua Griffin (27), a tree surgeon, of Rosnashane Road near Rasharkin, admitted charges of driving without due care and attention and using a Volkswagen Golf without insurance.

The charges relate to a collision at the junction of Finvoy Road and Mullan Road at Finvoy on November 5, 2016.

Coleraine Magistrates Court heard the defendant believed he was insured but it had been voided as he had failed to forward his no claims bonus.
