Driver caught using hand-held mobile in Ballymena

Ballymena Court

A man caught using a hand-held mobile phone whilst driving in Ballymena has been given three penalty points and fined £65.

Andrew McClenaghan (23), of Moycraig Road, Bushmills, also failed to produce his licence to police within seven days and was given a one year conditional discharge on that charge.

The offences came to light on March 24 this year.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court the defendant’s legal representative was solicitor Stewart Ballentine.
