Drugs discovered after police notice man behaving in a ‘strange’ manner

Ballymena Court

POLICE attending a different incident noticed a man was acting strangely and appeared to be under the influence of drugs and officers then discovered cannabis and 48 Diazepam tablets.

The detection regarding Richard Lee Campbell (31), of Latharna House, was made at Latharna House on August 14 this year.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court, where the defence solicitor was Andrew Kinney, the defendant admitted possessing Class B and Class C drugs.

The defendant who had a previous record was on Probation at the time of the detection.

District Judge Nigel Broderick deferred sentencing to next April and said Campbell must not re-offend and also has to engage positively with Probation.
