Judge says doubling up on court interpreters is not good use of public money

Ballymena Court

A JUDGE said having two Romanian language interpreters at Ballymena Magistrates Court was not a good use of public money when one would have sufficed.

The judge was speaking as Alin Vezeteu (39), with an address at Prince Street in Ballymena, had the assistance of a Romanian language interpreter on Thursday.

Another Romanian language interpreter was involved in another case.

Vezeteu is charged with assault relating to March 21 this year and the case was adjourned to November 14.
