A LARGE crowd was present when police responded to a report of a fight in a Ballymena town centre street.
Police spoke to two males, one of whom was Ryan Douds (23), with an address listed as Chichester Park West in Ballymena.
The incident happened at 12.30am on February 3 last year at Ballymoney Street, the town’s Magistrates Court heard on Thursday.
During the incident people had been stepping out in front of cars, the court heard.
A defence solicitor said there had been an altercation in a bar.
He said the defendant, who received injuries, remembered little of the events.
The lawyer said his client is a “hard working” plasterer.
District Judge Nigel Broderick said it was the defendant’s fourth disorderly behaviour incident and warned that he could face a prison term in future.
The defendant was given a two months sentence, suspended for one year.
