Man accused of having knife as offensive weapon has charges withdrawn

A man who had previously pleaded not guilty to possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – making a threat to kill and assaulting two people – has had the charges he faced withdrawn.

Melvyn McCosh (50), of Old Cullybackey Road, Cullybackey, had been accused in relation to June 8 this year.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court a prosecutor said the charges have now been withdrawn.
