Man accused of ‘kidnap’ is granted bail subject to a suitable address being found

A MAN who is one is one of a number of men charged with kidnapping a man has been granted bail subject to an address being approved by police.

Ryan Goligher (29), with an address listed as Millstone Park in Portstewart, is also accused of stealing £500 from the alleged victim and aiding and abetting grievous bodily harm upon the man.

The charges relate to December 12 last year.

The defendant appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court via video link from prison.

A defence solicitor said bail was agreed subject to conditions but that no address was currently available.

The £500 bail conditions include the defendant residing at an address to be approved by police; a 10pm-7am curfew when he subject to electronic monitoring and a ban on entering Coleraine, Ballymoney and Portstewart.

Another condition is that he is only allowed to drive between 9am and 5pm and at other times he must be a passenger.
