Man accused of possessing a kitchen knife as an offensive weapon has matter further adjourned at court

A man accused of offences including possessing an offensive weapon – a kitchen knife – has had his case further adjourned.

Dylan McKeegan (19), of Bellisk Drive, Cushendall, is alleged to have committed offences in June this year.

He is also charged with assaulting a female; damaging a bedroom door belonging to her and making a threat to cause damage.

The defendant appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on August 19.

The court heard the complainant is McKeegan’s mother.

The court was told police were to investigate if there had been a statement of withdrawal in the case and the matter was adjourned to September 2.
