Man admits offences including having knife as offensive weapon

A MAN has pleaded guilty to a number of offences including possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – with intent to commit assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Anthony Christopher Corry (28), of Canning Grove in Crumlin, had the case mentioned in his absence at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Defence barrister Michael Smyth said there were guilty pleas to charges including the knife charge; assaulting three police officers; causing criminal damage to a police van and possession of cannabis.

The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report to Antrim Magistrates Court in December.
