A MAN caught on the road without insurance had borrowed a Citroen Relay van from a friend to “carry a shed from A to B”.
Adrian Thompson (54) of Orkney Drive, Ballymena, had the offence discovered at Linenhall Street in the town on June 18 this year.
Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said the defendant had fully comprehensive insurance for his own vehicle.
Ballymena Magistrates Court heard the defendant had six points on his licence already.
The defendant was banned from driving for a month and fined £300.
