A man along with another person caught stealing air wick oil from Savers in Ballymena and razors from Lloyds Pharmacy in the town said they had moved to a new address and were trying to “furnish” the house.

Christopher Charles O’Reilly (27), with an address at Tobar Park in Cullybackey, had taken items worth £34 last September.

The goods were recovered and fit for re-sale.

A defence solicitor told Ballymena Magistrates Court on March 14 the defendant had a long-standing drug problem.

The defendant, who had a record, was given a two months jail term but was released on £500 bail pending appeal.

As part of his bail he is banned from Savers and Lloyds in Ballymena.

His bail address is in Limavady where he has to report to police.
